Fakultní nemocnice u sv. Anny v Brně (FNUSA)

St. Anne ́s University Hospital Brno – International Clinical Research Centre (FNUSA-ICRC) is an emerging centre of excellence in the European Research Area. It is an innovative science and research centre and a top-quality public healthcare centre focusing on prevention, early detection and treatment  primarily of cardiovascular and neurological diseases. ICRC has  almost ten years of successful cooperation between St. Anne ́s University Hospital Brno and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (USA).

FNUSA-ICRC runs a long term health prevention scheme (Cardiovision Brno 2030) that aims to identify the actual health risks of citizens, and to minimize these, by 2030, through prevention programs. In the project’s first phase, mapping risk factors for cardiovascular disease is now underway within a randomly selected population of Brno, the participants’ age ranging from 25 to 64 years, while during the second phase, suitable prevention programs will be proposed based on the results obtained, which are to focus on reducing the occurrence of the risk factors identified. This gives FNUSA-ICRC extensive expertise in prevention of non-communicable diseases, especially cardiovascular.
