Mr Nikos Gkionakis presented as key note speaker the results of the needs analysis assessment that was conducted in Athens on the conference ‘Mental Health, refugees and migration’. The conference was organized by ENTER Mental Health, Scientific Assosiation for Regional Development and Mental Health and United Nations Refugees Agency.
Representatives from 15 countries and 40 organizations had the chance to discuss on the following issues:
- Current situation and relevant interventions in Greece
- Examples of good practices of support and empowerment in migrant and refugee populations
- The experience of people who have had personal experience as refugees and migrants
- Training for mental health professionals working with migrant and refugee populations.
