Participatory Educational Intervention with Unaccompanied Minors
Description: A pilot investigation of a participatory educational intervention with unaccompanied minors (UAMs). The study facilitators worked with a team of minors in order to co-construct the content of an educational intervention (strictly speaking an informative session rather) on healthcare access. Then the minors of the team was trained to conduct the educational intervention and afterwards they trained other unaccompanied minors, homeless or not. The informative session was conducted by minors (“informer” participants) for minors (“receiver” participants).

Cost: For this intervention, the main cost was the cost for the salaries of the staff that participated in the design and the implementation of the intervention. A rewarding activity was also conducted for the unaccompanied minors that participated in the design of the training material and finally became trainers. The rewarding activity was a visit in an amusement park. So this cost was also included in the pilot intervention.
